In this listicle, I explore the history of Tiong Bahru through her food, linking historical milestones with the various eateries that are distributed throughout this eclectic neighbourhood.

Predicting Singapore's Biomolecular Revolution​​

This module provided me with the opportunity to explore the biological revolutions that occurred in the past century. For my final assignment, I was required to write a 2500-word paper that examined the question: "What would Singapore be like in 2070, as a result of revolutions in biology?". Through Harry and Hermoine's story, I predict how Singapore could incorporate the biotechnological innovations of tomorrow, focusing particularly on the implications of CRISPR-Cas9 technology.

The Ironman Conundrum: Should Billionaires Provide Education In Lieu of the Government in the United States? ​​
Given how Bill Gates, George Soros, and other billionaires have aggressively championed educational causes in the United States, I was interested in whether educational philanthropists could substitute the government in providing education. In this paper, I examine the best- and worst-case scenarios of a billionaire-funded education system before concluding how the problems of inefficiency, inequity, and ideological indoctrination make it best for education to be kept within government hands.
